Our Mission
The Brier Island Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the community of Brier Island, Nova Scotia. We strive to raise funds that directly benefit our community and support various local initiatives.

Donate to the Foundation
Your generous donations help the Brier Island Foundation continue its vital work in our community. Every contribution goes directly to projects that enhance life on Brier Island and support local initiatives. We have partnered with the Community Foundation of Nova Scotia to establish the Brier Island Community Fund.
Court Campaign
July is our special Court Campaign to help the Westport Recreation Auxiliary pave the Multipurpose Court. We have been working hard to support the Auxiliary with their goal of having an outdoor recreation facility.
The first phase of the project has been accomplished with the ground preparation work completed by Haydan Titus of Titus Property Services. Now comes the second phase with the paving and asphalt work. The paving crew is scheduled to be on Brier Island in July 2025 to complete the work on the multipurpose court!
The Westport Recreation Auxiliary needs our help! These ladies work so hard to support Brier Island with Old Home Weekend and so many other much-loved events in the community. They have been raising money toward the court for over 10 years! Now is the year when the court project is actually happening. Let's help them get over the finish line by supporting the July Court Campaign. All donations made will go directly to the Westport Recreation Auxiliary for the court project.

We are off to a great start! The Brier Island Foundation has helped raise $30,940 so far in the first few months since taking off. In order to ensure community transparency, we will continually update our list of Grants and Donations and show how these funds will be allocated to partner organizations and community projects.

The Brier Island Foundation
Welcome to the new Board of Directors and the Executive Team of the Brier Island Foundation. The Foundation was officially incorporated on February 18th, 2025 and the the First Directors Meeting was held on March 11th, 2025 to establish the team. Our second board meeting was held on Tuesday, June 24th, 2025. The Executive Committee meets more regularly between board meetings.
